You can lock objects to prevent them from being edited or deleted.

To lock an object:

1.Select it.

2.Then tick the lock check-box in its properties dialog in its property panel.

Similarly, to unlock an object:

3.First select it.

4.Then clear the lock check-box in its properties dialog in its property panel.
