Adding Circles and Ellipses to Schematics and PCBs Designs
Hey there! In this video, I’m going to show you how to create rectangles in schematics. And guess what? The same method works for adding rectangles in PCBs too!
So, here’s what you do: first, head over to the Add ribbon tab in the ribbon menu.
Then, click on one of the rectangular buttons to start adding the rectangle.
Next, move to the first corner of the rectangle and give it a good left-click.
Now, as you drag the mouse, you’ll see the rectangle start to take shape.
Keep an eye on it, and when it’s got the right aspect ratio and size, just give it another left-click to finish it off.
But wait, there’s a quicker way! You can also click on one of the rectangular buttons and then move to the start position of the rectangle.
Just hold down the left mouse button and drag the mouse, and the rectangle will take shape right before your eyes.
When it’s perfect, just let go of the left mouse button and you’re all set.
Creating rectangles is a breeze, right? So, go ahead and give it a try!
